Former BJP leader Ashish Das joins TMC in presence of Abhishek Banerjee

Former BJP leader from Tripura Ashish Das, who had recently left BJP, joins TMC in the presence of party’s General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee in Agartala.

Das has been vociferously dissenting against Tripura CM Biplab Deb and his leadership in the state over the past couple of months.

As an MLA, Das failed miserably to make any difference in his Assembly constituency Surma, after the BJP came to power in 2018.

BJP Tripura MLA Ashis Das visited Trinamool Congress Bhawan a month ago and met Trinamool Congress president Subrata Bakshi.

A video of MLA Ashis Das went viral a month ago in the social media platforms, he was heard lauding Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and describing her victory in the by-polls as a prelude to Mamata rising to new heights in the national politics.
