A meeting was organised at Srinath Vidya Niketan school ground in Khowai on Friday with the initiatives of Left youth organizations DYFI and TYF.
The main speaker in the event was opposition leader and former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.
While speaking on the occasion, former Chief Minister severely criticised the state and central government on various issues.
He added that retrenched 10323 teachers lost their jobs due to the BJP government and many among them died.
Sarkar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are controlling the government and BJP party like puppets.
He called for a united fight against the BJP.
