Former Congress MP Sushmita Dev Quits Party, Joins Trinamool Congress

Former Assam MP Sushmita Dev, who resigned from the Congress earlier today, has joined the Trinamool Congress.

She joined the TMC in the presence of party leaders Abhishek Banerjee and Derek O’Brien.

Former Assam MP Sushmita Dev was the president of All India Mahila Congress, and a former member of Lok Sabha from Silchar in Assam. She was also the face of the Congress in Assam’s largely Bengali-speaking Barak Valley.
