Garia Mela from 21-23 April at Kathalchari ADC Village

The traditional Garia Mela will be held at Garia Mandir of Kathalchari ADC Village in Rupaichari Block of Sabroom from April 21 to 23. Recently, a preparatory meeting was held in the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sabroom Sub-Division under the chairmanship of MLA Mailafiu Mog.

The meeting was attended by DCM Ganruatfela Darlong. Nakul Pal, Abhijit Jamatia, Social Worker Dhananjay Tripura and members of the Mela Committee along with officials of various departments.

Art, and culture of the tribal people will be displayed through various cultural programmes in this three-day fair.

A health camp will also be held at the fair. Besides, a natural disaster prevention exercise will also be conducted. Everyone has been requested to attend the fair
