Government aims to build a self-reliant Tripura: Tourism Minister

The government is working with various plans for overall welfare of the state as well as its people. Importance is being given to creating job opportunities and improving socio-economic condition of the people.

Government aims to build a self-reliant Tripura, enunciated Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury after inaugurating Vending Cart Zone at Ranirbazar Shopping Complex premises yesterday with the initiative of Ranirbazar Municipal Council.

It is to be noted that, these vending carts were given to 7 family members of poor background on the same day. This assistance has been provided by Deen Dayal Upadhyay National Urban Development Livelihood Mission.

The Tourism Minister said, more such vending cart zones will be created step by step in future for the poor families. This initiative has been implemented to create income opportunities for people.

He said, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha is working for welfare of the citizens under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chairperson of Ranirbazar Municipal Council Aparna Shukla Das, Vice-Chairperson Prabir Kumar Das and social activist Gouranga Bhowmik were also present in the programme.

Welcome Speech was delivered by Chief Executive Officer of Ranirbazar Municipal Council. The Tourism Minister and other guests handed over keys of the vending cart to the beneficiaries in the programme.
