Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha roy today inaugurated the main fertilizer warehouse of South Tripura district at Vivekananda Colony in Saraisima, Bilonia.
Inaugurating the fertilizer warehouse, the agriculture minister said government facilities were being made available to the farmers of the state.
As a result, the production cost of farmers is reduced a lot. With the opening of fertilizer warehouses, farmers in the region will no longer have to rely on Gomti district for fertilizer.
Moreover, the government is keeping an eye on the paddy produced by the farmers so that it is not wasted. Farmers will be able to keep their paddy also. The Agriculture Minister said that as a result of PM Kisan and Crop Insurance Scheme, the amount of crop production of farmers has increased more than before.
Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said that farmers are now benefiting by selling paddy at minimum support price. The present government has given priority to agriculture. He hoped that this fertilizer warehouse and complex would play an important role in the overall development of the farmers.
