Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb chaired a review meeting with the officers of Industries & Commerce Department at Secretariat.
They discussed strategies to improve the ease of doing business in the state and to attract investors from across the globe. Rubber, Agar & horticulture were the main areas of discussion.
The government has given priority to the expansion and development of industry for the economic development and employment of the state.
The Department of Industry and Commerce needs to be more dynamic and enterprising in the successful implementation of the government’s plan in this regard said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
Reviewing the progress of various projects of the Department of Industry and Commerce in the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized on the vision and plans of the government for the development of the rubber sector in the state and said that the state government has given more importance to the development of the rubber sector.
In this case, he mentioned the need to train more rubber tappers to produce quality finished rubber.
The Chief Minister also emphasized on the expansion of rubber industry in the state by setting up rubber wood processing units.
He also emphasized on creating a rubber mission in the state by focusing on generating more revenue through expansion of rubber trade in the state.
