Government is working with the goal to grow revenue of 10 thousand crore in next 5 years in the state through the SHGs: CM

The youths of the state are now creating job opportunities for others in the state through their entrepreneurial spirit and through different government schemes, Government is working with the goal to grow revenue of 10 thousand crore in next 5 years in the state through the SHGS, stated Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Debs after inaugurating Swanirbhar Camp programme jointly organised by Sepahijala District Administration and Tripura Gramin Bank at Bishalgarh Higher Secondary School. under Rautkhola Gram Panchayat in Bishalgarh block.

The Chief Minister visited different service providing organisations and other stalls in the programme.

He also handed over loan sanction papers, Kisan Credit Card and distributed saplings of medicinal and commercial plants grown with the aegis of the Forest department under Chief Minister Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana, papaya and banana saplings raised with the initiative of Horticulture and Soil Conservation department and handed over fish fingerlings to different beneficiaries with the initiative of the Fisheries department. He also handed over a bank passbook of Sukanya Samridhi Yojana account to a beneficiary.

The Chief Minister also stated, govemment has taken the initiative to help Self Help Groups of the state to become self-reliant. Numerous schemes are being implemented in the state in the period of the present government in order to create employment opportunities for women through SHGs. The government is working to cater assistances of different welfare schemes to people from every section in the society with transparency.

After granting 1 lakh 59 thousand housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at once, process to build 70,000 more houses by next April is ongoing Numerous plans including Start-ups are being implemented for rural economic development Along with increase in income of farmers, per capita income has increased.

Others present in the programme were MLA Subhash Chandra Das, MI A Birendra Kishore Dehbarma, Chairman of Khadi & Village Industries Board Rajib Bhattacharjee, Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala Zila Parishad Supriya Das Dutta, Secretary of Rural Development department Soumyal Gupta, Secretary of Agriculture and Finance department Apurba Roy, Secretary Sharadindu Choudhury, Additional Secretary of Rural Development department T.K Debnath.
