Government to double farmers income by 2022

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said the income of the farmers in the state would be doubled by 2022 along with their counterparts across the country as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

While addressing a speech yesterday Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said in attempt to give booster to the farmers income the state government has decided distribute the local rice through FCI.

At present about two and half mt rice are distributed through the FCI in Tripura.

The Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb also detailed various other pro farmer policies and schemes under the BJP rule both in the centre as well as in the state.

Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singh Roy in his speech said the state government had effectively implemented several schemes for the uplift of the farmers of the state.
