Governor celebrates Janajati Gaurav Diwas in Dhalai district

Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Wednesday participated in the auspicious function of celebrating Janjati Gaurab Divas, launch of Proti Ghore Sushason 2.0 campaign in every house virtually at the conference hall of District Magistrate’s office of Dhalai district.

In this event organized at the District Magistrate’s office, the Governor said, “Today is the day for Lord Birsa Munda. Birsa Munda’s birthday is celebrated as a day of national pride in our country.”

He added, “Lord Birsa Munda was a popular leader and freedom fighter. Birsa Munda and several other Janjati heroes sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.”

Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu further said, “The mobile campaign vehicle on the occasion of the Bharat Sankalp Yatra will make the people of the marginalized towns aware of the government schemes and services.

People from all regions of the state can be informed about government schemes and service opportunities in this Sankalp Yatra.”
After the virtual ceremony, the Governor held a meeting with the District Magistrate and the officials of various departments in the conference hall of the District Magistrate’s office on various development programs of the district.

In the meeting, officials of various departments presented detailed information about the development program of the district to the Governor. Development programs of various departments were reviewed in detail in the meeting.

While discussing, the governor said, “The officials have to work with more responsibility to reach the various projects of the central government to the common people. In order to improve the village, various government facilities should be provided to the poor people. People in rural areas should be encouraged more in animal husbandry.”

He said, “Various scholarships for students should reach them at the right time. Hostels should be managed properly.”
Governor directed the officials to implement programs like health services, drinking water, electricity, road connectivity, etc. for the villagers.

He said that he will come again to review the various development programs of this district.
Governor was given a guard of honor by the district police when he reached the Dhalai District Circuit House.
