The 136th State Level Bankers Committee Meeting was held on 29th September, 2021 at the Secretariat under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
In the meeting, Minister informed that State Government is giving priority to the Primary Sectors for economic development of the State.
The State Government is working with priority in the primary areas of development to accelerate the economic development of the State.
The development of primary sectors such as rubber, tea, fisheries, animal husbandry and agriculture has been given utmost importance.
State banks need to come forward to make the people associated with all these primary sectors economically self-sufficient.
This was stated by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb at a meeting of the 136th State Level Bankers’ Committee at Room No. 2 of the Secretariat on wedenesday.
He reviewed the progress of the decisions taken on various issues at the last meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee.
Taking part in the discussion, the Chief Minister said that the banks need to be aware of all the areas in which the state government is working with priority.
The Chief Minister also directed the banks to take necessary plans in coordination with the priority areas of the government. He advised the banks to set targets and work within the stipulated time.
Banks will have to take out lending programs for those areas where lending is available.
The Chief Minister emphasized on simplification of lending system so that no one should be harassed in getting loans from banks. He added that banks need to set specific targets for how much they will lend in certain cases.
