Govt takes firm steps against black marketing

Heavy rains in the last few days have caused severe damage to NH-44 national roads and railways in Haflong, Maibang and Badarpur areas of Assam.

As a result, road and rail communication from Guwahati to Agartala is severely disrupted.

In this situation, some traders have raised the prices of commodities by creating artificial crisis of daily necessities including food grains

The state government has directed the district magistrates and SDM of each district to take necessary action against them.

According to the state government, DMs and SDMs should keep a close watch on every market in the state and take strict legal action against traders if they want higher prices of goods.

The government has appealed to the public to help the administration by keeping a watchful eye on such black marketers.
