The BJP-IPFT government in Tripura on Wednesday announced to fill up over a thousand vacancies.
Speaking to reporters at the state secretariat Wednesday evening, Tripura Information and Cultural Affairs minister Sushanta Chowdhury said the cabinet has decided to recruit 940 teachers under the education department. Of these, 340 teachers will be absorbed in the secondary education segment and 600 teachers in the elementary education segment.
There are 230 graduate teachers and 110 postgraduate teachers. He further said that 600 teachers will be recruited in the primary level under the education department. Under the Home Department, 304 firemen and 25 drivers will be posted in the Fire and Emergency Services Department.
The ration money of the Tripura State Rifles Jawans had also been increased from Rs 800 to 1,000 and service tenure was extended to 60 years from 57 years.
