High level meeting on renovation of roads in Dhalai district

As per direction of the Chief Minister, Tripura and considering the road conditions of HSCL’s roads in Dhalai district, a high level meeting has been held at Conference Hall No-II of New Secretariat Building on 18th August to resolve the public grievances regarding maintenance of roads already constructed by HSCL in Dhalai district under PMGSY.

The said meeting is held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura in presence of Secretary, PWD, Government of Tripura, Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Tripura, Special Secretary.

Planning & Coordination Department, Government of Tripura along with the Chief Engineer, PWD(R&B), Tripura, Chief Engineer, PWD(PMGSY), Tripura, District Magistrate & Collector, Dhalai District, Superintending Engineer, PWD(R&B), 5th Circle, Dhalai, and General Manager, HSC Ltd.

(Tripura Unit) After a threadbare discussion on present alarming situation, General Manager, HSCL (Tripura Unit), present in the meeting, was asked to prioritize the roads after consultation with District Magistrate & Collector, Dhalai District on the basis of its present surface condition & importance to the local inhabitants.

HSCL officials were also requested to start the onetime special repairing works immediately after call of tender within next 01 (one) month time. The GM, HSCL assured that they will complete the maintenance activities by December 2023 as per specification and PMGSY guidelines on the road prioritized.
