Hotel Sonar Tori , Big Bazar to be closed from today

The High Court of Tripura in a order today asked the West Tripura District Administration to ensure closure of two high rise commercial buildings and a multiplex in the city with in 24 hours

A division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Arindam Lodh passed the interim order as both the high rise buildings were not safe for people as they were not having fire safety equipment to deal with emergency situation like fire.

The matter will again be heard on February 22 next.

Reportedly both the managements were served with notices for complying with fire safety norms.
