Tourism plays an important role not only in entertainment but also in education There is huge potential for development of tourism industry in the state.
The state government has given priority to take the tourism industry further said Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Devvarma while inaugurating the India-Bangladesh Tourism Festival at Ujjayanta Palace premises in the capital.
The three-day tourism festival will end on April 19. In addition to the cultural program, there are various other programs in this three-day festival.
In his inaugural address, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Devvarma said Bangladesh has a deep connection with Tripura in all respects. Apart from culture or music, the people of Tripura and Bangladesh have spiritual ties.
The present government wants to intensify the relations of the people of Bangladesh with Tripura.
There are many places in Tripura for those who are thirsty for travel. In this context, the Deputy Chief Minister mentioned various tourist areas of the state including Chhobimura, Jampui Hill.
He said that Tripura has historical ties not only with the geographical aspect of improving people-to-people relations between the two countries, but also with Bangladesh.
The Deputy Chief Minister called upon Bangladesh to take more important and effective steps in setting up industries in Tripura.
