Tripura has been doing really great in generating blood banks and solving the blood crisis in hospitals from last three decades.
Keeping up the same momentum, on Thursday a blood donation camp has been organised in Jirania’s Shishu Niketan School celebrating their anniversary popularly known as “Rajat Jayanti” as well as Swami Vivekananda’s 159th birth anniversary.
The ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury has been invited there as the chief guest. While giving his tribute speech he mostly talked about the importance of blood donations and blood banks in the state.
He said “Nothing can be more virtuous in this entire world than donating our blood. We must know the value of a blood drop before organising such benevolent & voluntary camps.
Our state is doing remarkably well in managing the blood banks by organising such blood donation camps from past few years and must go on like always.
We have to make sure that larger section of people participate in such life saving camps and keep our blood banks stocked. We also have to ensure than no one should die deprived of blood or running out of blood in our state” Mr. Chowdhury said.
Sharing his view on Swami Vivekananda, he said today’s youth must understand the magnitude and calibre of Swami Vivekananda. He has devoted his entire life for igniting the minds of the youths of our country. I request all the youths of my state to follow the path shown by Swami Vivekananda and engage with the voluntary works, service for the nation.”
