The Minister of Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Choudhury inspected the progress of the preparation of 40th Agartala Book Fair.
Information and Culture Minister Sushanta Chowdhury inspected the progress of the preparations for the upcoming 40th Agartala Book Fair at the premises of Hapania International Fair this afternoon.
During the visit, Ratan Biswas, Director, Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Subrata Chakraborty, Member, Agartala Book Fair Preparatory Committee, and other representatives involved in organizing the book fair were also present.
Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury inspected the work of decorating various stalls, stage decoration, seminars, work of book fair theme pavilion in the fair premises. Speaking to reporters after the visit, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Chowdhury said, “This 40th book fair is very important, Agartala Book Fair is an important fair in the North East. He hoped that this year’s book fair would take a historic turn in the presence of book sellers, publishers, book lovers, writers and artists from the state and abroad.
He said various initiatives have been taken to make this year’s book fair a little different from other times.
He called upon the people to express their views on making the 40th Agartala Book Fair more beautiful.
