IJU Secretary Pranab Sarkar condemned the attack on Media; demands immediate arrest of culprits

Indian Journalists Union National Secretary & Secretary of Agartala Press Club Pranab Sarkar, visited the two Media houses which were ransacked by hooligons on Wednesday.

IJU National Secretary, Sarkar strongly condemned the attack on Media houses. He also demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the attack.  

Pranab Sarkar today along with a delegation of Journalists met with IG Law & Order in connection with the attack on Media Houses at Melarmath, Agartala on Wednesday.

The police have also been asked to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future and immediate arrest of those involved in the attack on Media.

The investigation into the case has already been handed over to the Crime Branch.

The hooligans attacked the office of two media houses in Agartala and ransacked the building on Wednesday.

A vehicle of a Media House was also vandalised and motorbikes of journalists were burnt.

In his tweet IJU National Secretary Pranab Sarkar said “I visited the two News paper house yesterday, I strongly condemned the attack on Media. Today I along with a delegation of journalists met IG Law & Order. I demand for a proper investigation into the incident”.
