Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating 19″ Rajarshi festival at Bhubaneswari temple premises in Udaipur yesterday. He said that the kings of Tripura helped Rabindranath Tagore in various ways at various times Rabindranath Tagore had a close relationship with the kings of Tripura. Rabindranath Tagore wrote the novel Rajarshi in the context of Tripura. Our life will never be complete without Rabindranath.

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said at the programme that besides Mata Tripurasundari temple, Bhubaneswari temple and old Royal Palace is also a heritage. MLA Rampada Jamatia also spoke at the programme. MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumder, District Magistrate of Gomati District Govekar Mayur Ratilal, Superintendent of Police of Gomati District Ajit Pratap Singh, Chairman of Matabari Panchayat Samiti Sujan Kumar Sen, Social Worker Ajit Poddar and others were present on the occasion.

Welcome speech was given by Assistant Director of District Information and Cultural Affairs Office Manoj Debbarma, Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council Shital Chandra Majumder presided over the programme
