A special initiative has been taken by Drinking Water & Sanitation department to provide clean drinking water to households in remote areas of the Dhalai district for the financial year 2023-24 under Jal Jeevan Mission.
The plan will be implemented in four phases. Total expenditure has been estimated to be 324 crore 76 lakh rupees. The development plan includes installation of deep tube wells, deep tube wells commissioning through pump house and pipeline connection, installation of small-bore deep tube well, setting up Iron Removal Plants and creating other water sources. 20 deep tube wells will be installed and 80 deep tube wells will be commissioned in the first phase.
Apart from that, 352 small-bore deep tube wells will be installed, 66 Iron Removal Plants will be set up and 15 innovative drinking water sources will be created. Its total expenditure will be 72 crore 75 lakh rupees. 32 deep tube wells will be installed in the second phase. Apart from that, 120 deep tube wells will be commissioned, 100 small-bore deep tube wells wills be installed and 170 Iron Removal Plants will be set up. Its total expenditure will be 96 crore 90 lakh rupees. 35 deep tube wells will be installed in the third phase.
Apart from that, 122 deep tube wells will be commissioned, 100 small-bore deep tube wells will be installed and 175 Iron Removal Plants will be set up. Its total expenditure will be 100 crore 64 lakh rupees, 8 deep tube wells will be installed in the fourth phase. Apart from that, 40 deep tube wells will be commissioned, 69 small-bore deep tube wells will be installed and 151 Iron Removal Plants will be set up. Its total expenditure will be 54 crore 47 lakh rupees.
