International Women’s Day observed by Taxes & Excise Organisation

A society can reach the pinnacle of development only through the combined efforts of both men and women.

He also said that today’s women are moving forward in all aspects of work culture, sports etc. whether in the city or the village. In this way forward, men are equally inspiring by the side of women.

This was said by Finance Secretary Brijesh Pandey at the Women’s Awards Ceremony organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023 in the joint initiative of Tax and Excise Department and Small Savings Department at Hall No. 2 of Rabindra Bhawan Building today.

It is a matter of great pride for us. We want women to be massively ahead at the top. Chief Commissioner of State Tax Rakhi Biswas delivered the welcome address on the occasion.

He discussed the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, Digital Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality. Apart from this, Agartala Women’s University Principal Manideepa Debbarma, Director of Family Welfare and Preventive Medicine Department discussed the development and progress of women in the program. Officer Samukita Das, Additional Secretary Finance Department Akinchan Sarkar etc. On the occasion, 154 women who have been successful in various private sectors, including women in high positions in various offices of the King and Central Government, were felicitated. All were felicitated with saplings and certificates. The artists of Gitanjali Cultural Society performed the opening music of the event. Apart from this, interesting cultural program was performed on the occasion. 4 women journalists were felicitated in the event.
