Journalist Pranab Sarkar launched a Merit Scholarship in memory of his mother Leelabati Sarkar

Pranab Sarkar, a prominent journalist of the state, Secretary of Agartala Press Club and editor of Headlines Tripura News Channel has always engaged himself in social activities along with journalism.

He took another commendable initiative on Saturday by starting a merit scholarship in memory of his mother Leelabati Sarkar.

On this occasion, a program was organized in the premises of Jaipur High School in Nalua, Belonia under South Tripura district on Saturday.

Former Chief Minister, present MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath, MLA Shankar Roy, News Vanguard Channel Editor Debashish Bhattacharya and others were present.

While speaking, the former Chief Minister, present MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, and MLA Shankar Roy praised the initiative of the Pranab Sarkar.

On this day, a total of seven Students were awarded the Leelabati Sarkar merit scholarship.
