Maitri Setu: India-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge Set To be Operational by the end of this year

The construction company expressed hope that passenger crossing and ICP (Integrated Check Post) can be started by the end of this year.

Land Ports Authority of India planning member Sanjeev Gupta and other officials told the media after visiting the construction work of Maitri bridge and ICP.

Notably, a few days ago, the District Magistrate of the South Tripura suddenly announced that the ICP and Maitri bridge will start in early September.

However, after inspecting the ICP and Maitri bridge on Thursday, the representatives of the construction company and planning members of ICP said that if everything goes well, there is a possibility that it will start by the end of this year.

Rumors have started about when the bridge will really start.
