Minister Pranajit Singha Roy Minister Sushanta Chowdhury Visits Churaibari Check Post; Advises To Address Problems Immediately

Officials of the Department of Food, Public Procurement and Consumer Affairs have to play an important role to speed up the public distribution system.

Sushanta Chowdhury, Minister of Food and Consumer Affairs, expressed this opinion in a review meeting of the concerned departments organized at the District Magistrate and Samaharta office in North Tripura district today.

Various programs of the Food Department were discussed in the review meeting. Talking to reporters after the review meeting, he said that the initiative taken by the government to strengthen the public distribution system was reviewed whether it was being implemented properly in North Tripura district.

A review has also been made to ensure that there is no shortage of food items during the upcoming monsoon season. Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury also visited the Churaibari check post.
