Padmabil Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Officer said that in the last fiscal year. I power tiller was given on subsidy to 13 farmers under the Submission on Agriculture Mechanization scheme in the block area. Under the Forest Right Act. I power weeder, 1 pumpset, grass cutter, spray machine were given to 10 beneficiary farmers. Battery operated spray machines have been given to 6 people, I paddy thresher was given to 7 farmers. Under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, 3 people got their 3 ponds dug. 90 thousand rupees were spent on digging each pond. I pumpset was provided to 10 farmers.
5 farmers were given deep irrigation facility. 119 farmers of the block area were provided agricultural loans through Kisan Credit Cards. Under the National Food Security Mission, 4 ha. Land 5 farmers were brought under maize cultivation. Under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, 12 subsidized power tillers were provided to 12 beneficiaries of the block areas. In the meeting the official of Padmabil block DWS office said that till now 7 thousand 448 families have been provided with purified drinking water connection in the block area under Jal Jeevan Mission. Padmabil Block Forest Officer said that 265 hectares of land were brought under plantation in the block area in the last financial year. Out of this, 130 hectares of mixed forestry. 55 hectares of bush and 80 hectares of teak plantations have been planted. In the current financial year, 264 hectares of land will be afforested in the block area. Besides, under the Forest Right Act target has been set to raise plantation in 45 hectares of land comprising agar, betel nut, maize, ginger and lemon for the beneficiaries who have received land allotment.
In the meeting, the officials of Padmabill Fisheries Office informed that in the last financial year, 808 beneficiary families in the block area have been brought under the fish farming through the Mukhyamantri Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana. An official of the Animal Resources Development Office informed that 461 families of the block area were assisted in poultry farming, 153 families were given ducks and 100 families were given pigs under Muhyamantri Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana scheme in the last financial year. Officials and workers of various departments including Agriculture, Animal Resources, DWS, Forest were present in the meeting.
