Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik has directed the officials of various departments to speed up the delivery of benefits of various schemes of the Central and State Governments to all the villages and towns of the state.
In the review meeting of the district-wise direction committee held at the conference hall of Sepahijala District Magistrate’s office on Tuesday, she directed the stakeholders to complete the implementation of various projects within the specified time while maintaining the quality.
Bhowmik said that the benefits of various development projects of the government should reach the very poor people of the society and there can be no compromise on this.
She advised the officials of various departments to work together to improve the financial condition of farmers.
In the meeting, the activities of the departments of public works, power, drinking water and sanitation, fisheries, agriculture, horticulture and land conservation, school education, health, social welfare and social education, food, rural development etc. were reviewed.
