Movement of NLFT Increased In Remote Areas Of Dhalai Dist

It would be a foolish job if we think that terrorism has withdrawn its grip from the soil of this state permanently.

According to the sources, the banned NLFT militants have intensified their operating units and movements in the remote areas of Dhalai district.

It is being revealed from the reports that a sixteen member armed group in outlawed military outfit have been traced while moving in the dense forests planning assaults, busy in extortion from local people as well as further planning attacks on security forces and civilians targeting the Republic Day.

According to the intelligence source, the sixteen-member group led by Baitan Debbarma had trespassed into Dhalai district through the unfenced border passes from the Chittagong hill-tracts side of Bangladesh.

They are now moving in different areas nearing the border to target police and paramilitary forces. This exclusive movement of NLFT has put all the security forces on high alert.

The entire security set-up along the state’s eastern border has been put on high alert.
