Mukul Roy Returns To Trinamool

In a major development, senior BJP leader Mukul Roy today finally returned to TMC. Mukul Roy was welcomed by Mamata Banerjeeand her nephew Abhishek Banerjee.

Earlier in the day, Mukul Roy met Mamata and Abhishek Banerjee at the TMC office in Kolkata.

“Ghorer chhele ghore phirlo (Mukul has returned home),” said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He was never a traitor like the others, she stressed.

“Yes, more will come,” she confirmed when reporters asked.

Mukul has reportedly been miffed with the BJP leadership for being sidelined after the entry of Suvendu Adhikari in the party.

He quit the TMC in September 2017 after having a fallout with Mamata, reportedly over the rise of Abhishek Banerjee in the party.
