During a courtesy meet with the President of India Ramnath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, today the Chief Minister Prof (Dr.) Manik Saha invited the President to visit Tripura and Maa Tripurasundari Temple.
The Chief Minister acquainted the President of India about overall development in the state and asked for his cooperation. He had also acquainted the President of India about the ongoing beautification and infrastructural development at the Maa Tripurasundari Temple campus in Udaipur under ‘Swadesh Darshan scheme.
The Chief Minister handed over a replica of Maa Tripurasundari Temple on behalf of the people of Tripura to the President of India along with traditional scarf of Tripura, Risa After taking over, this was the first visit of the Chief Minister to the President of India.
“Met with the Chief Minister of Tripura, @DrManikSaha2 ji in New Delhi today. I am confident that he will take his state forward on road to progress and prosperity. I also wished him a successful tenure ahead,” the defence minister tweeted.
Saha also said he met the home minister and sought his continuous guidance for all-round development of Tripura.
“Delighted to meet the Union Home Minister Hon’ble Shri @AmitShah ji. Requested him for his continuous guidance so that I can devote myself to the all round development of Tripura as Chief Minister of the state,” Saha tweeted.
The Chief Minister Prof (Dr.) Manik Saha had a courtesy meet with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi today where they have discussed about various matters related to the interest of the state.
The Chief Minister urged the Union Home Minister to have conversation with the Bangladesh government regarding rapid completion of barbed fence construction at Indo-Bangla border and setting up of an Integrated Check-post at Nischintapur of Agartala-Akhaura railway.
The Chief Minister had also requested the Union Home Minister about setting o of a Sainik School in the state. The issue of resettlement of Reang (Bru) refugee’s was also discussed during the meeting.
