TIPRA Motha is planning to put up its own candidates in 40 to 50 seats when polls will be held for the 60-member Tripura Assembly.
However, the party appears to have left its door open for any possible alliance in the future.
Tipra Motha Chief Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma in his tweet said “No alliance – my heart does not agree and so I have made my decision that I cannot accept New Delhi’s offer ! Jitega toh jitega harega toh harega but one last fight to karke rahega ! I can’t betray our cause and our people”.
At the same time, it has stated that the party would welcome any offer from the government over the Greater Tipraland issue.
TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma on Friday announced his party would fight the Tripura assembly elections alone.
