Veteran CPM leader and Former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury strongly reacted over reports published in a section of media relating to gross corruption of Flyover in Agartala.
CPM leader and Former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury ruled out any irregularities or malpractices in the construction.
Addressing a press conference yesterday at CPI(M) headquarters on Wednesday, Chaudhury said that previous Left Front government had completed the 95 % construction works of fly-over measuring 2.26 kilometers during their tenure.
Giving details of the project with substantial evidences, Chaudhury said that the then LF government had floated national tender for drawing, design and DPR for the project, and 7 national consultancy firms had participated in the tender. Finally, the state government selected a Delhi based BKS Infrastructure Management company to prepare the DPR considering the seismic zone of the state.
“I served the state government as PWD Minister for last 20 years, nobody can raise any question on our endeavour and we never compromised with corruption practices or standard quality in any project”, said Chaudhury.
