North East regional conference on PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan for multi-model connectivity: CM Saha
The country is reaching the pinnacle of development today through the visionary thinking of Prime Minister and the successful implementation of development plans. Tripura is also moving forward on the path of development shown by the Prime Minister. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Sahu said this while inaugurating the Regional Conference of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan for Multimodal Connectivity organized by Department of Industry and Commerce at Pragna Bhavan on 17 December, 2022 The Chief Minister said that due to the lack of coordination among different departments, there was a time when the road would be constructed by ane department, other departments would dig up the road and lay gas or other lines under the ground.
As a result, the road would get damaged and money was wasted. PM Gati Shakti eliminates such problems and accelerates infrastructure development process through appropriate planning by coordinating all departments. The Chief Minister said that some innovative programmes initiated by Prime Minister from time to time create a stir in the minds of the countrymen. The Chief Minister said that several issues will be discussed in this regional conference which will give momentum tothe implementation of other development programmes in the coming days. He also emphasized on the need to review the progress of PM Gati Shakti programme.
At the conference, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented Act East policy for the overall development of the North Eastern states. As a result, the development of this region is accelerating. Tripura has also seen great progress in different fields including communication.
Minister of Industries and Commerce Santana Chakma said that Tripura has been recognized as a fast moving state in the implementation of PM Gati Shakti programme. The present state government is working continuously for the development of all sectors. She urged everyone to work together to build Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura.
Chairman of Tripura Industry Development Corporation Tinku Roy was present on the occasion. Secretary of DONER Ministry, Government of India Lok Ranjan also spoke on the occasion. Special Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce Abhishek Chandra gave the welcome speech Joint Secretary of Ministry of DoNER Saurabh Endle, Joint Secretary of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Government of India, Rajendra Ratnoo, Secretary of Department of Planning and Coordination, Government of Tripura, Apurba Roywere also present at the programme. In this regional conference, the top administrative officials of North Eastern states, Indian Air Force, Indian Army, CEOs of several industrial establishments and PSUs, ete participated in this conference.
