Agartala, January 31, 2022: On Sunday, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath introduced new curriculum for every government employees at the Shiksha Bhawan.
Online Kokborok speaking course has been started for the Group A, B and C category government employees.
In the first batch, total 100 govt. employees from 8 districts got the opportunity to join the course. TCS and IAS officers have also got the opportunity. Resource person would provide them classes and trainings on every Sunday, 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month.
The first batch would be trained by 3 months and 2 weeks. While addressing the media, Minister Ratan Lal Nath highlighted the significance and importance of Kokborok language in the service sector.
He considered this step as a revolutionary stand of the government of Tripura. “Learning Kokborok language would help the officers and employees to connect with the tribal people more better understanding their issues and problems.
It would break the barriers among non-tribal and tribal communities in the state,” he said. Moreover, he said that the government is planning to launch the same course for the common civilians as well.
