The central and State governments are working to make the farmers financially self-sufficient.
The central government’s goal is to double the income of farmers by 2022. With the proper planning of the central government, agricultural production has increased even during the Corona Pandemic.
This was said by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha ray while inaugurating the newly constructed Agricultural Learning Center at Madhupur in Bishalgarh subdivision on Thrusday.
Sepahijla Zilla Parishad President Supriya Das Dutta, Bishalgarh Panchayat Samiti Chairman Chhanda Devbarma, Zilla Parishad Agriculture Standing Committee President Biswajit Saha and others were present on the occasion.
It may be mentioned that 53 lakh rupees has been spent for the construction of agricultural knowledge center.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Pranjit Singha Roy said that the aim of the state government is to help the farmers in various ways.
He said 26 farmer friend centers have already been set up in the state. Not only that, the state government is working on various schemes to build agricultural infrastructure in the state.
