Over 28 lakh voters as per final electoral rolls for Tripura Assembly polls

On the occasion of the ensuing Tripura Assembly elections, the total number of voters in the 60 assembly constituencies is published.
According to the final voter list, the total voters of the state is 28, 13,478.

Among them are 14,14,576 male, 13,98825 female and 77 third gender voters.
The number of voters increased by 79,587 compared to the draft voter list.
State Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Gitte gave detailed information about the final voter list in a press conference at the state Secretariat on Friday.

A team of the Election Commission of India would arrive in Tripura to review the preparedness for the ensuing assembly elections.

Gitte added, “According to the final voter list, the number of voters aged above 18 years is 68044. Among them are 34,704 male, 30,328 female and 12 third gender voters. The number of registered female voters is 10,766 more than male voters”.

He also said, “There are 38039 voters above 80 years in the final voter list. The number of voters over a hundred years is 679 people. There are 17297 Divyang voters”.

Gitte further said that there are 3328 polling stations in the state and the average voters under each polling station is 845.

He further said, “About 13,000 family members of 5,500 Bru refugees have been included in the final voter list.
