Second Sub-committee of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Rajbhasha is on a visit to Tripura.
The committee will hold review meetings regarding implementation of Rajbhasha in central govt offices and establishments in the state.
The Parliamentary Committee led by veteran parliamentarian and former union minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi will review implementation of use of Rajbhasha in Central Govt establishments at Agartala.
These establishments are All India Radio, Doordarshan, FCI, Airport Authority of India among others. Other members of parliament of the vising parliamentary committee are Manoj Tiwari, Pradip Tamta and Sushil Kumar Gupta.
A delegation of the Parliamentary Committee also paid a courtesy call on Governor Satyadeo Narain at Raj Bhavan on Sunday afternoon.
The delegation included MP Professor Rita Bahuguna, MP Manoj Tiwari, MP Pradeep Tamata MP Sushil Kumar Gupta.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said “Welcomed members of Parliament committee on Rajbhasha and MPs Smt Rita Bahuguna Joshi Ji, Shri Manoj Tiwari Ji, Shri Pradip Tamta, Dr Sushil Kr. Gupta Ji and other dignitaries on their visit to Tripura”.
He also said “We discussed strategies to spread the awareness about Rajbhasha in the state”.
