Patients get reassured to great extent when the behavior of the doctors and nurses is good. It plays a big role in speedy recovery of the patients, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb after inaugurating ‘Sevajyoti-2022″ programme held on the occasion of International Nurses Day at Rabindra Bhawan.

He said, besides behaving well with the patients, the main duty of the nurses is to provide healthcare services with the virtue of patience, which is why it is essential for all nurses to have present mindedness along with good behavior and must be able to speak kindly. Only then the relation of patient and nurse will be smooth which will help highly in providing treatment. In the beginning of the programme.

The Chief Minister said, people visit hospital when they are sick. That time, it is important for doctors and nurses to provide them treatment with smile and patience.

Education and healthcare services are the important factors for the development of a state. The state government has been working from the start towards the goal to provide advanced healthcare facilities to the people of the state. It is due to the improvement in health infrastructure of the state, refer cases of patients to outside the state has drastically lessened. Complicated surgeries such as Open-heart surgery, Bypass surgery, Angioplasty, Neuro surgeries are now being performed in the main hospital of the state, GBP Hospital itself.

The Chief Minister said, good behavior, diligence and belief in work generates positive mindset in a person. This positive mindset helps a person to achieve success in life. He called on all health workers including doctors and nurses to move ahead with such positive mindset.
