PM announces ex-gratia from PMNRF for victims of train mishap in Odisha

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the victims of train mishap in Odisha.

The Prime Minister’s office tweeted;

“An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased in the train mishap in Odisha. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM”

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to  train accident in Odisha.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;

“Distressed by the train accident in Odisha. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. Spoke to Railway Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw and took stock of the situation. Rescue ops are underway at the site of the mishap and all possible assistance is being given to those affected.”
