PM Modi announces COVID vaccination for children aged 15-18 years from Jan 3

India have decided to start vaccinating children between the ages of 15 to 18 from January 3 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this while addressing the nation on Saturday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced ‘precaution doses’ for people aged 60 years and those comorbidities at time when many experts have been recommending booster doses in the view of Omicron COVID variant.

He further announced that vaccination for children in the age of 15-18 years will begin from January 3, 2022

Senior citizens with comorbidities will receive booster doses from January 10, 2022, PM Modi announced. 

Children between the age group of 15 to 18 years will be getting the Covid vaccine from January 3, 2022.
