Sitaram Yechury says that the CPI(M) is not against Narendra Modi as an individual but against the policies implemented by the government led by him.
CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Monday said no non-BJP pre-poll alliance is possible at the national level under the given political circumstances. Speaking at Agenda Aaj Tak event in New Delhi, Yechury expressed confidence that the Modi government would be voted out of power in 2019 Lok Sabha election and a new coalition would form government at the Centre.
Responding to a question about elusive grand-alliance against the Modi government in 2019 Lok Sabha election, Yechury said, “The alliance will happen at the state level for the polls. Any grand-alliance at the central level can only happen after 2019 election.”
