Preparatory meeting held for Century-old Kharchi Puja

Kharchi Puja, the traditional festival of Tripura will begin on July 7.

An important meeting has been organised in the Old Agartala Community Hall on Tuesday to discuss the strategy for conducting the fair and festival on the occasion of Kharchi Puja.

Speaker Ratan Chakraborty, Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and officials of different departments were present in the meeting.

Speaker Ratan Chakraborty said that diverse steps will be taken to make the traditional festival of Kharchi Puja all-round and successful.

On the other hand, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said strategies have been discussed with officials of different departments so that devotees appearing in the Kharchi Puja do not face any problem.

Based on this meeting, officials will take steps to ensure the upcoming Kharchi festival sucessful.
