As a result of the earnest efforts of the Central and State Government, there has been a great development in the communication system in the Tripura.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambition to make the state a HIRA model has become possible.
At present, the state government is also working on plans for the development of waterways.
In this regard, Central Ports, Ships and Waterways have also extended their hands of cooperation.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said this while addressing the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of “School of Logistics, Communication and Waterways” at Pragna Bhaban on Wednesday.
This “School of Logistics, Communication and Waterways” institute was virtually inaugurated by the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, Waterways and AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal.
Speaking as the chief guest, the Chief Minister said that due to the establishment of this institution, businessmen and industrialists of the neighbouring country Bangladesh will also benefit.
He added, “In the coming days, there will be an opportunity to exchange views with the businessmen of the state through this institution”.
The chief minister further said, “The communication system plays an important role in the overall development of any state. As a result of the earnest efforts of the Central Government, road, air and rail connectivity in the state has been greatly improved”.
