Principal Chief Conservator of Forest visits Bru Migrants Resettlement centre in Groingnang Para

Principal Chief Conservator of Forest KS Shetty visited Bru Migrants Resettlement centre on 4″ May, 2023 at Grusingnang Para of New Gomati ADC Village under Karbook Block Principal Chief Conservator of Forest was accompanied by Secretary Abhishek Singh during the visit. During the visit, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest KS Shetty and Secretary Abhishek Singh interacted with members of two women self-help groups in Groingnang para.

He highlighted the opportunities available to Bru Migrantss to earn a living through the Forest Department.

During the visit, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest initiated training camps in fisheries, pig rearing, handloom and sewing with the members of the Self Help Groups.

During the visit, Secretary Abhishek Singh enquired about the availability of communication system and drinking water in Groingnang para.

Secretary Abhishek Singh laid stress on creating drinking water source in innovative way by constructing Dam at the low adjacent to Graingnang para Secretary Abhishek Singh also enquired about the progress of the new road which is under construction from Jatanbari to Mandirghat.
