Tripura’s Power Minister, Ratanlal Nath warned local clubs in the state against the unauthorized use of electricity through makeshift connections during the Durga Puja festival.
He presided over a power department review meeting on Friday, focusing on preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja.
In his post-meeting statement to the press, the Power Minister issued a stern warning to the clubs and Durga Puja organizers, “During Durga Puja, do not steal electricity via hook lines. Such usage poses a significant risk of damaging the transformers and electrical cables, potentially leading to accidents and disruptions.”
He added, “Hence, my appeal to all the Durga Puja organizers using electricity legally is to exercise caution and prevent accidents during this festive season.”
