Review meeting of Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority at Secretariat

The township projects under the initiative of Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority (TUDA) should be completed speedily while maintaining quality. The problems in the implementation of these township projects should be resolved quickly. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this in the review meeting of Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority (TUDA) at Secretariat yesterday. In the meeting, the Chief Minister suggested to have rainwater harvesting system in the flats being constructed under township project.

The township project work is under process near Vivekananda Market of Kaman Chowmuhani and Kunjahan area in Agartala. In the meeting, the current status of various township projects of Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority and various initiatives taken for the development of the city area were discussed in detail.

Secretary of Urban Development Department Abhishek Singh, Secretary of Information Technology Department Kiran Gitte, Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. PK Chakraborty, Member of TUDA Swapan Saha along with senior officials of various departments were present in the meeting

In the review meeting, the Chief Minister said that the people of the state have a tendency to buy flats. So he directed the department to promote the flats being constructed in Agartala under TUDA. He also suggested that these flats should be subject to certain conditions, so that ownership of the flats is properly maintained. Chief Minister emphasized in the meeting to utilize PM Gati Shakti scheme in implementing the projects of TUDA.

The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to speedily complete the work of the Lighthouse project under construction in Golchakar area of Agartala. The meeting also discussed the appointment of Economic Advisor to manage TUDA work in a well-planned manner

Commissioner of TUDA Tamal Majumder reflected on various construction projects of TUDA such as Vivekananda Township, Kunjaban Township. Lighthouse and ADB projects regarding current status and progress, future plans etc through PowerPoint presentation. He also highlighted the action taken in view of the decisions taken in the last meeting of TUDA. A total of 48 flats with G plus 4 will be constructed in the township project in Vivekananda Market area. It was informed in the meeting that 48 flats have already been booked
