Review meeting on the status of different construction projects in the secretariat

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended a review meeting regarding the current situation and progress of the construction project on Agartala-Airport Road, the multi-storey administrative building at Gurkhabasti and Unity Mall on Saturday in the 2nd meeting room of the Secretariat.

In the meeting, he said, “Emphasis should be placed on the use of modern technology in the implementation of development programmes. The work on the projects currently underway in the state must be completed with due diligence within the stipulated time frame, using modern technology, maintaining quality. For this, whatever steps are necessary to complete the mission.”

After reviewing these projects in the meeting, Chief Minister Manik Saha said that the construction work of the projects should be regularly inspected and monitored.

In the review meeting, Chief Secretary JK Sinha suggested implementation of the project management concept in construction of the multi-storied administrative building in Gurkhabasti and Unity Mall with modern facilities in the area adjacent to Amtali Bypass.

He added, “It will increase the responsibility among the concerned. In the meeting, the current status of the Agartala-Airport Road, Unity Mall and multi-storied administrative building construction projects and the various steps taken to implement the project were discussed in detail.”

CEO of Agartala Smart City Limited Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav gave detailed information about the current work status and progress of the Airport Road and Unity Mall construction projects.
