Schools reopened for students from VI to XII Standard in Tripura following Covid guidelines

After a long time Tripura has finally reopened physical classes in the state for all students from VI to XII Standard from today.

Students will now be able to take classes at the school.

In view of the reduction in the COVID Test Positivity Rates in Tripura and considering the learning losses that has already occurred, with the approval of State Disaster Management Authority, the Department of Education (School) has decided to start physical classes in the state for all students from VI to XII Standard from today.

The modalities of opening physical classes are as follows:

• All schools functioning in single shift if adequate rooms are not available, may be converted to double shift with half students in each shift in all classes. In any case HMs should ensure that alternate seats are kept unoccupied.

Morning shift: 08:00 to 11:00 AM Afternoon shift: 12:00 to 3:00 PM

All schools functioning in double shifts will make a roster for students with half students in each class attending school daily with alternate seats free with 100% teacher attendance.

Since classes are suspended for I to V, the teachers in those classes shall be deployed in class VI to VIII for Catch up campaign of Nutun Disha..

Headmasters/Headmistresses should maintain compliance to all existing COVID protocols like compulsory masking, social distancing and hygiene practices. DEOs are hereby instructed to form inspection teams for ensuring the same.
