Six Farm Machinery Banks in Unakoti district

Six Farm Machinery Banks have been planned to be set up in Unakoti district. These banks will be set up so that Self-Help Groups or farmer’s organisation could buy farming s machineries whenever required, 10 lakh nipees will be invested in setting up each farm machinery bank.

Assistance of 9 lakh 50 thousand rupees will be provided to the Self-Help Groups of farmer’s organisation to buy farming machineres. Remaining 50 thousand rupees has to be given by the Self-Help Groups or farmer’s organisation.

Through this, they can lend fanning machineries and cam income. Apart from this, 27 farmers in the district will be distributed weeding machine for which cach of them will be given 35 thousand rupees under Submission on Agricultural Mechanisation scheme.
