Special emphasis is being given towards development of sports infrastructure in the state: Sports Minister

A cordial relation of mutual friendship and brotherhood builds up through sports & Sports Sports brings enthusiasm to take up positive tasks which is why emphasis is being given an improving spurts infrastructure, stated Minister of Youth Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on his visit to take stocks of different issues related to sports infrastructure in Khowai sub-division yesterday.

Yesterday evening he visited Khowai Govemmental Higher Secondary School and enquired about the present status of construction of a synthetic football ground from the concemned officials.

He instructed the officials to speed up the work maintaining the quality. He also visited basketball court at the school. He then interacted with the Laliga football coaching centre and visited Integrated Football Coaching Camp at Khowai Airport Ground.

He said, success at the national or intermational level cannot be achieved without proper infrastructure in sports even if there is talent which is why special emphasis is being given towards development of sports infrastructure in the state.

Others present during Minister’s visit were Secretary of Tripura Sports Council Amit Rakshit, Vice Chairman of Khowai Panchayat Samiti Tapas Kanti Das, member of Khowai Zilla Parishad Subrata Majumder, Deputy Director of Youth Affairs & Sports Biplah Dutta and Banajit Bagchi.
